What Happened When A New Neighbor Stopped By Unexpectedly And I Said “Autism”

I had a new neighbor drop by unexpectedly, yesterday, and I was introducing my children. They looked at Arlo, who had just ripped his pajamas (as his Stemming causes his PJs to wear thin very quickly, at the knees, and he rips & shreds EVERYTHING) and had this puzzling, judgemental look on their faces. Project Self-Love is an ongoing series, published every Thursday. I originally started this by recording two podcast episodes, but feel it’s more of a fit for my personal journey, which I’ve named PrettyHappyHello.

I took a short break from the series because of a couple really hard autism weeks, back to back. I lost my will to do any kind of loving thy self. Podcast. S1 E4: Battle of the fridge and an Autistic Meltdown

5 views 0 Comment

The battle of the fridge, the fridge-capades…constantly getting my autistic child out of my fridge. This daily battle has a now-solution, with a future simple solution in mind. I also share a small audio snippet of the meltdown that happened over the fridge. Mommy just had to say no.

Q of the Day:

What are you currently battling your little love(s) about? How are you approaching the situation? Have you found a solution or do you need help?

And most importantly…. Do you ever find yourself daydreaming about a sexy new appliance like me?! 😆
